We interviewed Rachelle Fischer, whose daughter Sadie (12) recently attended Camp Jaycee’s Virtual Chocolate Lovers Summer Program.

From s’mores to chocolate chip pancakes, to chocolate-dipped fruit, and so much more. The Chocolate Lovers camp was a big win at the Fischer household!

“I found the camp very enjoyable because they gave us lots of autonomy and helped us when we were stuck but didn’t baby us.This is a big improvement over other cooking camps I’ve attended where they barely even let you use a knife. This camp gave my daughter a great sense of independence and accomplishment as the techniques were challenging for her.” ~Rachelle

Due to the global pandemic, Camp Jaycee is offering satellite locations and virtual camps! For each camp, JCC is following best practices guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and on behalf of the American Camp Association (ACA) and state and local regulatory agencies (collectively “The Regulatory Agencies”). Per the recommended guidelines, they are striving to provide each group with as much outdoor activity as possible.

We asked Rachelle to share a favorite moment from the camp with us, and here is what she said:

“This camp gave my daughter a great sense of independence and accomplishment as the techniques were challenging for her.” ~Rachelle

With locations in La Jolla, Del Cerro, Carmel Valley, and Poway, this camp has it all!  Extended hours before and after-camp are available for an additional fee at the JCC and satellite locations. Afternoon extended hours for preschool-aged campers are available only after 3:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

So whether on-site or virtual, there’s a camp for you and your family at Camp Jaycee! For more information, please check out their website.
