Make future healthcare decisions for yourself!
With so much uncertainty around COVID-19 and the elevated precautions we are all living through to protect ourselves physically from the virus, we should also think about protecting our healthcare wishes. Do you have a plan in place should you become ill suddenly? Do you have a healthcare directive in place?
An advance healthcare directive is also known as a living will, personal directive, advance directive, medical directive or advance decision. It is a legal document in which a person specifies what actions should be taken for their health if they are no longer able to make decisions for themselves because of illness or incapacity.
In this webinar, Attorney Amy Hsiao will be walking you through properly filling out the Advance Health Care Directive as well as the importance of it and at no cost for your family.
Some of the things you should consider when thinking about the directive are:
– Making future healthcare decisions for yourself
– Making choices about CPR, ventilator use, artificial nutrition, and more
– Determining your end-of-life care
– Naming a healthcare agent
– Do you want to be an organ donor?
There will also be time for Q&A with Amy Hsiao, so come ready with questions.
