We are thrilled to be sponsoring Home Start’s 11th Annual Hallo-Wine Fall Festival on Saturday, October 20 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. This year the festivities are back at the Historic Burnham House, a beautiful venue near Balboa Park. Guests will savor a fantastic array of delicious hors-d’oeuvres, boutique wines, handcrafted beers and liquors. All while enjoying live entertainment, the opportunity to bid on fantastic silent auction items, hear a Home Start client share her personal testimony and test your luck with a Wine Pull.
The Hallo-Wine Fall Festival is held every October in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All proceeds raised provide critical assistance to San Diego’s most vulnerable children and families through Home Start’s programs. This is an opportunity to give back and have a fantastic time.
So invite your significant other, get a group of moms together for a fun afternoon out, and come to support this incredible cause. The proceeds from this event go to support women like Maria.
Maria was a victim of domestic violence for many years. She came to Home Start through Community Services for Families after a domestic violence incident. Her children sustained a lot of trauma through years of abuse to their mother. This has resulted in behavioral issues both in school and at home. Maria began in our home parenting program and has had perfect attendance. She gained many new skills and learned to calm her son’s tantrums. The kids have made significant progress in school. Maria now shows her love and affection to her children proudly and is making progress in her Child Welfare Services Case Plan.
Join the San Diego Moms Blog in supporting Home Start and this incredible event. We hope to see you there.
