Founded in 1983, Carmel Mountain Preschool is a local family-owned and operated private preschool and Summer Camp Program located in Rancho Penasquitos. Carmel Mountain Preschool is a warm, caring and fun atmosphere where children of Rancho Penasquitos, Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Santaluz, 4S Ranch, and Scripps Ranch can develop a lifetime love of learning. Over three decades later, the preschool continues to produce Carmel Mountain Preschool graduates who go on to succeed both academically and personally.
Carmel Mountain Preschool is situated on a beautiful 3-acres, providing plenty of space for children to learn, discover, explore and grow at our three separate age-appropriate playgrounds, Art Studio, Science Lab, Outdoor Garden Classroom, Messy Art area and Soccer Field.
The safety and well being of our Carmel Mountain Preschool Family is paramount. Some of the most important things that children need in order to support an ideal learning environment are that they are safe and loved. Our staff and teachers go above and beyond to make sure that is happening, especially in today’s world. Since Carmel Mountain Preschool has kept our doors open throughout the pandemic we have the experience and success of running a preschool safely.
At Carmel Mountain Preschool we allow a few select high-quality outside companies to offer extra-curricular enrichment classes to our students. These classes are offered either from 12:30-1:10 (during the beginning of nap) or from 3:30-4:15pm. If your child attends Carmel Mountain Preschool half day, then you would pick them directly after class instead of 12:00. Classes are offered on different days.
